Michael was invited to present a lecture as part of the University of Auckland Faculty of Arts' Shakespeare
in Winter series of public lectures.  His lecture, "Inventing Shakespeare", was presented on 2 August 2006.
He was also a discussion leader for the University's symposium, "Celebrating Twelfth Night", on 5 August 2006.
