| HANSEL AND GRETEL
(opera): Michael
directed Englebert Humperdink's Hansel and Gretel for
NBR New Zealand Opera, which is being presented on a national tour
of fifteen New Zealand locations. See the Opera's

BLACKBIRD (theatre): Michael will star as Ray in David Harrower's Blackbird for Auckland Theatre Company at the Maidment Theatre, 4-27 September 2008. THE MAP READER (film): Michael plays the father, Ben, in the New Zealand film The Map Reader, directed by Harold Brodie. It has been accepted by the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, which will run 12 October-9 November 2008. BITCH SLAP (film): Michael is starring in the U.S. feature film Bitch Slap which is expected to premiere in late 2008/early 2009. See homepage for more info; see the film's official website. LEGEND OF THE KEEPER (formerly WIZARD'S FIRST RULE; tv): Michael will direct episodes of Wizard's First Rule, a new American syndicated tv show produced by Ghost House Pictures, which will begin showing in the U.S. in fall 2008. THE TATTOOIST (film): Michael plays Crash in the film The Tattooist which was filmed in New Zealand. It is now available on dvd in New Zealand and Australia and was released on dvd in the U.S. on 24 June 2008. It will be released in the UK on 20 September 2008. See our Tattoooist page for review, pics, etc. THE ADVENTURES OF VOOPA THE GOOLASH (tv): Michael voiced two characters, Moogabi and Choo, in a new animated kids' tv show, The Adventures of Voopa the Goolash, being produced by Photon Animation. An article dated 25 April 2003 on the Rocky Horror Preservation Foundation website reported that Michael would reprise his role as Riff Raff in a tv movie re-make of the Rocky Horror Picture Show for Fox TV; however, Michael is not involved with any Rocky Horror movie. |
